The Metropolitan State University of Denver women's basketball team fell to Colorado Christian University 65-46. The Roadrunners are now 7-9, 5-5 RMAC while the Cougars are 11-3, 8-2 RMAC.
The Roadrunners were led in scoring by
Georgia Ohrdorf (Wollongong, Australia/St. Mary Star of the Sea College) with 13 points. She was closely followed by
Hannah Stipanovich (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton H.S.) and
J'Nae Squires-Horton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sand Creek H.S.) with 10 points each.
The Cougars were led by Kate Louthan with 16 points.
The Roadrunners were outshot by the Cougars 26.1 percent to 44.6 percent. MSU Denver outrebounded CCU 48 to 35. Leading the Roadrunners in rebounds was
Luisa Tago (Medford, Ore./South Medford H.S.) with nine rebounds. She was followed by
Jenae Paine (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City H.S.), Stipanovich, and Ohrdorf with six rebounds.
MSU Denver will be back in action January 16 when the face Colorado School of Mines at 5 p.m. at the Auraria Event Center.
