Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's basketball team fell to Colorado School of Mines Saturday at the Auraria Event Center by the score of 70-65. The Roadrunners fell to 9-8, 7-4 RMAC while the Orediggers advanced to 12-5, 7-4 RMAC.

The Roadrunners led by senior
Tony Dobbinson (Stamford, Conn./Westhill H.S.) who scored 23 points, and had three rebounds. He was helped by junior
Brian Howard (Maywood, Ill./Saint Ignatius H.S.) who scored 15 points and had five rebounds.

The Orediggers were led Caleb Waitsman who scored 21 points and ten rebounds.

MSU Denver out rebounded Colorado Mines 33-27. The Orediggers created 12 turnovers, those turnovers by MSU Denver led to 17 points for Colorado Mines. The Orediggers outshot the Roadrunners with 44.0 percent to 43.8 percent.

The Roadrunners will travel to South Dakota on January 22 where they will face Black Hills State at 7:30 p.m.Â
