Men’s Basketball: Roadrunners Defeat New Mexico Highlands

Dobbinson leads MSU Denver to Victory

Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's basketball team defeated New Mexico Highlands 95-88. The Roadrunners advance to 12-8, 10-4 RMAC while the Cowboys fall to 11-9, 10-4 RMAC.

MSU Denver was led in scoring by senior Tony Dobbinson (Stamford, Conn./Westhill H.S.) who scored 40 points. He was followed by Andre Harris (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb H.S.) with 17 points and Eric Rayer (Colorado Springs/Coronado H.S.) with 14 points.

Dobbinson had a career making night tying the all-time single-game scoring record at MSU Denver.

Harris led the Roadrunners in rebounding with 14, giving him a double-double for the night. Harris was followed by Peter Moller with six rebounds. Moller led the team with five assists.

The Roadrunners will be back in action tomorrow night at the Auraria Event Center where they will face Western New Mexico.
