Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's soccer team (6-3-1, 4-1-1 RMAC) defeated CSU-Pueblo (3-7, 1-5 RMAC) 5-2 on Sunday, October 2 at the Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver.

Dimitri Ney (Grenoble, France/Lycée Pablo Néruda) to put the Roadrunners up 1-0. CSU-Pueblo responded in the 32nd minute to tie the game up at 1-1 with a goal from Dycus Kelly to send the game into half with a tie.
The second half belonged to MSU Denver. Just over one minute in, senior
Nolan Barth (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton H.S.) got on the board for his first goal of the season off an assist from fellow senior
Dustin Berg (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County H.S.) to put the Roadrunners up 2-1. The Roadrunners pressure continued when senior
Arturo Vega (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic H.S.) netted his first of the season in the 65th minute to increase the lead to 3-1 over CSU-Pueblo.
The seasoned veteran
Josh Belfrage (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista H.S.) added to the lead with a goal off Ney's second assist of the day in the 74th minute to put the Roadrunners up 4-1. CSU-Pueblo was able to cut the lead to 4-2 with an 81st minute goal, but Gillis would strike again for his second of the day to provide the lasting blow, putting MSU Denver up 5-2 for the win.
MSU Denver will next travel to Rapid City, S.D. to face South Dakota Mines at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 7 before returning to Denver on Sunday, October 9 to visit crosstown rival Regis at 2:30 p.m
