Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's soccer team defeated Adams State 3-0 Friday, October 30. The Roadrunners improved 10-6-1 overall and 8-4-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Grizzlies fell to 6-11 overall and 3-10 in conference play.

MSU Denver came out bringing a strong offensive force putting the pressure on the Adams State defense from the start. The Roadrunners got on the board in the 19
th minute when the Adams State cleared the ball to the top of the box, Senior
Arturo Vega (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic H.S.) was there to find the lower right corner of the net, scoring his fifth goal of the season. The Roadrunners added some insurance when Senior
Josh Belfrage (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista H.S.) scored his tenth goal of the season on a through ball from Sophomore
Jaydon Moreschini (Pueblo West, Colo./Pueblo West H.S.) in the 40
th minute. MSU Denver out shot Adams State 14-2 in the first half.

The Roadrunners controlled a 2-0 lead for most of the second half. The team added the third goal of the game off a cross from freshman
Dimitri Ney (Grenoble, France/Lycée Pablo Néruda) to the the foot of Freshman
D'Angelo Escobar (Firestone, Colo./Thornton High School ) in the 77th minute to seal the deal. Belfrage led the Roadrunners with six shots in the game.  Senior goalkeeper,
Hayden Rus (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) kept the Grizzlies scoreless making two saves.
