Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's soccer team (11-6-1, 9-4-1 RMAC) defeated Fort Lewis in a big Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match on Sunday, October 30 at the Regency Athletic Complex.

The two teams started off playing a physical match early on, with each team having quality looks. Fort Lewis rang one off the right post in the 16
th minute of the game but the Roadrunners were able to clear to keep the game scoreless.

MSU Denver had two solid chances of their own in the first but missed the net narrowly to the left both times. At the half, the teams were scoreless; Fort Lewis led in shots 9-2 & 2-0 in shots on net. The Skyhawks led in corner kicks 4-0.

D'Angelo Escobar (Firestone, Colo./Thornton High School ) with 21 minutes remaining in the match.
