Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball team (19-3, 14-0 RMAC) defeated South Dakota School of Mines 3-0 on Friday, October 28. MSU Denver has now won 15 straight matches.

Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) led the squad with eight assists with four kills and also added in three digs. Senior
Alyssa Kelling (Merton, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.)Â also added in three kills with 1.000 hitting percentage.
The Roadrunners continued to dominate in the second set with a 25-11 win. After two sets, Torr had 22 assists and Kelling had six kills. Smith also had recorded three service aces and 8.5 points.
The Hardrockers came to life in the third set, battling back and forth throughout the match, but MSU Denver would prevail 27-25. Smith finished with 14 kills and 18 points. Kelling concluded a solid evening with 10 kills and 11.5 points.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 29 against Black Hills State at 5 p.m. as they celebrate Senior Night at the Auraria Event Center.
