Michaela Smith (Littleton, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) and Redshirt Freshman
Alyssa Kelling (Merton, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) both earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the week awards Monday October 3. Smith was name RMAC offensive player of the week with Kelling being named defensive player of the week.
Smith lead the Roadrunners to two home victories over the weekend, defeating CSU- Pueblo 3-0 and New Mexico Highlands 3-1. Smith provided 11 kills and five aces against the Thunderwolves and a game high 20 kills, three aces, and posted 25 points against the Cowgirls.
Kelling provided an outstanding defensive performance in the Roadrunners 2-0 weekend to keep an undefeated RMAC record. Kelling had a game high nine blocks against the Thunderwolves and added 11 kills. Against the cowgirls Kelling posted a game high 6 blocks.
The Roadrunners take on UCCS Tuesday, October 4 in Colorado Spring at 7 p.m.
