Salt Lake City, Utah- The Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball team (13-3, 8-0 RMAC) defeated Westminster (2-15, 0-8 RMAC) 3-0 on Saturday, October 8 to remain undefeated in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.

Alyssa Kelling (Merton, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) helped the Roadrunners to a win in the 25- 23 win in the first set, hitting .571 hitting percentage and five kills. Â Senior
Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) recorded 13 assists.
MSU Denver took the second set as well 25-20 over the Griffins, heading into the third set with six total team blocks over the Griffins zero.
The Roadrunners were able to complete the three set sweep over the Griffins 25-17 for their ninth straight victory overall. Senior
Michaela Smith (Littleton, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) completed the match with a team leading 14 kills, just one ahead of junior
Ryan Hoerdemann (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe H.S.), who also had nine digs and a .400 hitting percentage. Torr finished her afternoon with 41 assists.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, October 14 in Las Vegas, N.M. at New Mexico Highlands at 7 p.m. and then will travel to CSU-Pueblo on Saturday, October 15 to another 7 p.m. RMAC matchup.
