East Orange, Calif.- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's basketball team (2-1) finished out the DII CCA Tip-Off with a 83-63 win against Azusa Pacific on Sunday, November 6.

Cameron Williams (Omaha, Neb./South High School ) had a breakout game for the Roadrunners, notching a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Â The Eastern Kentucky transfer also added in four assists in the win.

MSU Denver was able to make the most of their free throw opportunities after their struggles on Saturday to go 13-14 from the line against the Cougars. The Roadrunners held Azusa Pacific to 34.4% shooting in the game while shooting 48.5%.

Sophomore Enrique Cortes Zotes bounced back with seven points, eight rebounds and two steals in the victory. Junior
Sunday Dech (Perth, Australia/Churchlands H.S.) continued his impressive play with 14 points and six rebounds.

MSU Denver was able to cash in from downtown going 5-9 from beyond the arch in the second half to seal the victory in California.

The Roadrunners will return home to play Colorado College in an exhibition at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 12 at the Auraria Event Center.
