Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball team (23-3, 18-0 RMAC) completed an undefeated Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season for the first time in the program's history with a 3-0 win over Colorado Mesa.

MSU Denver jumped out to win the first set 25-22 over the Mavericks. Sophomore
Santaisha Sturges (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) led the Roadrunners with 6 kills in the opening set win.

The Roadrunners took the second set as well over Colorado Mesa 25-20. Through two sets, senior
Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) had recorded 25 assists, three digs and two kills.

MSU Denver went on to sweep yet again to finish out the RMAC regular season in style; taking the third set 25-17. Senior
Michaela Smith (Littleton, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) finished the night with 12 digs and eight kills. Junior
Ryan Hoerdemann (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe H.S.) led the 14.5 points and 12 kills, tying Sturges.

The Roadrunners go into the RMAC tournament riding a 19-game winning streak. The 3-0 win marks MSU Denver's ninth sweep of the 2016 season.
