Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's basketball team (8-3, 4-1 RMAC ) dropped Friday night's game against to Colorado School of Mines (8-3, 3-2 RMAC) in its first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference loss of the 2016-17 season.
A three pointer from each team opened up the night, tying the score at 3 in the opening minutes. However, the Roadrunners would be stalled by the Colorado School of Mines offense, as they went on nine, seven, and ten points run in the first half. The Orediggers led by as many as 21 points. MSU Denver was able to pull the game within 12 with 42 seconds to go in the half, score by junior Peter Moller.
Colorado Mines continued to control the game for majority of the second half. The Roadrunners cut the lead early in the second half to ten but they were unable to keep the momentum going to make the comeback.

Cameron Williams (Omaha, Neb./South High School ) led the Roadrunners in scoring, both with nine points. Senior
Andre Harris (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb H.S.) added eight points for the Roadrunners and grabbed 11 boards.
The Roadrunners return home to face Colorado Christian at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 17 at 7 p.m.
