Bellingham- The Metropolitan State University of Denver women's soccer team fell 2-0 to No. 9 Western Washington, making it the teams first loss of the 2016 season.
The Roadrunners were put under high offensive pressure from the Vikings early into the game. Freshman Liv Larson scored the Vikings first goal with 23 minutes to go in the second half when she dribbled past two Roadrunner defenders taking a shot on goal past freshman goal keeper

The Roadrunners held the Vikings to one goal until just 30 seconds left in regulation when Jen Oak received a pass from Emily Bunnel, scoring from two yards out.
Torres made 10 saves with the Vikings taking 12 shots on goal. Sophomore
Reigna Banks (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield H.S.) attempted two shots and had one on goal.
MSU Denver fall to 1-1-1. The Roadrunners continue their road trip Saturday when they take on Seattle Pacific in Seattle at 7 p.m. PT.
