Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver women's volleyball team will kick off its 2017 season at the Otter Classic at Cal- State Monterey Bay in Monterey, California.

The Roadrunners first game will take place on Friday, September 1 at 9 a.m. PT against Dixie State. The team will play again on Friday against Cal Poly Pomona at 4:30 p.m. PT. They will wrap up the weekend playing two games on Saturday, September 2 with the first game against Northwest Nazarene at 11:30 a.m. PT and 7 p.m. PT against the host school, Cal- State Monterey Bay.

MSU Denver is coming off a record breaking 2016 season going 27-5 overall and a perfect 18-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, taking the 2016 regular season RMAC title. The Roadrunners fell to Angelo State in the sweet sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.

The Roadrunners return eight players while adding seven newcomers for the 2017 season. Head Coach
