Denver- The Metropolitan State of Denver volleyball team will travel to begin its 2017 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.  The Roadrunners will travel across town to take on No. 21 Regis University on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m.  The team will then travel to Chadron, Nebraska to take on Chadron State on Saturday at 6 p.m.
 
The Roadrunners are coming off the Colorado Premier after going 1-3 over the weekend against some of the toughest competition in the nation.
 
In the first day of the tournament the Runner's defeated Florida Southern in five sets, overcoming an earlier loss to No. 6 Angelo State 3-0.  In the last two games of the tournament the Roadrunners fell 3-0 to No. 3 Lewis and 3-1 to No. 16 Central Missourie.
 
Regis also competed and was a co-host at the Colorado premier. The Rangers when 3-1 in the tournament defeating No. 17 Tarleton State on the first day in five sets.  The team then took a loss to Central Missouri 3-1 but bounced back to defeat University of Tampa and Florida Southern.
 
Chadron competed at the Towneplace Suites Invitational is Missouri this past weekend in which the team went 1-3.  The Eagles fell to Missouri Southern 3-2, Arkansas Tech 3-0, and Ouachita Baptist 3-0 and defeated Maryville 3-0.
