Lubbock, Texas- The Metropolitan State University of Denver baseball team fell 21-1 in its final game in Lubbock on Saturday. The Roadrunners fell to 4-8 overall on the season. The Chaps improved to 7-4 overall.
The Chaps came out swinging, getting the game going in the bottom of the first with nine runs.
The Roadrunners would score one run in the game in the second inning when juniors
Draven Adame (Lamar, Colo. /Lamar High School) and
Jake Kistaitis (Omaha, Nebraska/ Millard West High School) hit back to back doubles.
The rest of the game went much like the first inning for Lubbock Christian. The Chaps put up 12 more runs in the game to take the 21-1 win to wrap up the series.
MSU Denver will kick off conference play next weekend at home against CSU-Pueblo.
