COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – MSU Denver bounced back from a rough first set to cruise past UCCS 3-1 on Friday in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference volleyball.
The Roadrunners' 16-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-23 win allowed them to improve to 17-4 overall and 12-1 in the RMAC while running their winning streak to five.
Freshman
Rylee Hladky had a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs while also adding two blocks (one solo) to lead the Roadrunners.
MSU Denver had seven attack errors and a hitting percentage of .000 in the first set before quickly turning it around and hitting .500 with no errors in the second set and .409 in the third set.
The Roadrunners hit .232 for the match while holding UCCS to .182 hitting, including .125 in the final three sets.

Jenny Glenn said. "We were able to contain their offense and outlast them in the match."
Avaline Lai posted her third straight match of hitting at least .346 by hitting .357 with 13 kills while also adding two blocks.
Alyssa Kelling hit .333 with nine kills and four blocks (one solo). Kelling is now in sole possession of fifth place on MSU Denver's all-time list with 303 career block assists.
Kayla White had eight kills and a match-high 14 digs, while
Jessa Megenhardt and
Caiden Rexius each had two service aces. Megenhardt had four assists and now has 1,001 for her career.
MSU Denver had a 7-1 advantage in service aces.
Joli Sadler set 35 assists and also added two blocks.
The Roadrunners return to action Saturday with a 5 p.m. match at Colorado School of Mines (16-6, 9-5), the team that knocked them out of last year's NCAA Tournament.
