DENVER – The 5280 Open, the ITF World Tennis Tour event at the Regency Athletic Complex, is continuing through the week.
 
Among the developments thus far at the women's professional event has been the opportunity for MSU Denver star Tabitha Porter to play in a qualifying match as a wild-card entry in the tournament.
 
The two-time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the year dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to the United States' Alexis Keberle on Monday. Keberle is the tournament's No. 14 seed.
 
The tournament, which concludes Sunday, features several players ranked in the top 800 in the world.
