SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners women's tennis team dropped their round one match up in the Pacific West Conference tournament with Stanislaus State by a score of 4-1 and will now head to the consolation bracket.
MSU Denver now has a12-13 record overall, while going 5-4 in Pacific West play, and will wait to see who they play tomorrow morning in the consolation bracket.
It was a hard fought battle for the doubles point with
Kim Heddes and
Kambra Roles taking home the lone point for the Roadrunners.
Hanna Haber and
Victoria Ricaurte-Cabas dropped a close 7-5 match on court one which clinched the doubles point fot SSU.
Haber took care of business on court one, winning her match up over Alyssa Tay 6-1, 6-1, but that would be all for the Roadrunners.
Ricuarte-Cabas and
Louise Hosking were able to force a third set in each of their singles matches, but the other Roadrunners had already lost four matches, resulting in a Stanislaus State win in the first round.
