DENVER – On this date, April 24, 2004, sisters Rebecca and Jessica Meares won easily at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, after posting an 8-4 win in doubles as MSU Denver sailed to a 5-1 victory over CSU-Pueblo to win the RMAC Tournament in women's tennis.
 
Those performances highlight our latest installment of "On This Date in Roadrunners History," which looks back at the biggest accomplishments in MSU Denver athletics on that particular calendar day.

2015 – Susie Oury hit a two-out homer in the top of the ninth and Mary Towner added a two-run shot later in the inning as No. 19 MSU Denver defeated Colorado Mesa 6-3 for its second win of the day, following a 5-1 win over Chadron State.
 
2010 – No. 5 MSU Denver clinched the RMAC regular-season championship in softball with a 7-0 victory over Nebraska-Kearney to improve to 33-3 overall and 30-2 in the league. Christie Robinson pitched her fifth shutout in six games, a five-hitter with six strikeouts.
 
2010 – Carl Arnold III won the 1,500 meters at the Jack Christiansen Invitational, topping a field of 39 in 3 minutes, 57.92 seconds. With the conversion for altitude, he hit an NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships provisional qualifying mark with a 3:52.69. Teammate Anthony Luna was second, with a converted 3:55.09.
 
2009 – Yerica Pessoa won her No. 2 singles match 6-7, 7-6, 8-6 to lift MSU Denver to a 5-4 win over Colorado Mesa in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament for women's tennis. Earlier in the day the Roadrunners defeated Western New Mexico 7-2.
 
2009 – Ryan Campbell won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles after teaming with Sean Carlton to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles as MSU Denver cruised to a 6-0 victory over Colorado Mesa in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament for men's tennis.
 
2005 – Clint Cleland was 5-for-5 with two RBIs while Logan Pape was 4-for-4 and also drove in two runs as MSU Denver earned a 10-8 baseball victory at Colorado School of Mines.
 
2000 – Dana Reichers went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and MSU Denver scratched across a run in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Colorado Mesa 15-14 in baseball.
 
1998 – Manuel Ponce defeated Chris Gibson of Colorado College 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 to win No. 1 singles at the RMAC Tournament and earn RMAC Player of the Year honors. As a team the Roadrunners finished in third place.
 
1988 – Torin Berge was 5-for-8 with a homer as MSU Denver swept Regis 10-4 and 13-5 in a baseball doubleheader.
 
1987 – Torin Berge was 4-for-4 in the opening game, Doug Montgomery hit two first-game homers and drove in four runs and Erik Vessey was 4-for-4 in the nightcap as MSU Denver swept host Denver 11-7 and 16-1 in a baseball doubleheader.
