Hladky has 14 kills, team hits .355

LAS VEGAS, N.M. – No. 1 MSU Denver took care of business again Saturday night, hitting .355 and rolling to an easy 3-0 sweep of host New Mexico Highlands.

Rylee Hladky had 14 kills, two service aces and three blocks assists to lead the way in the 25-21, 25-13, 25-14 win that moved the team's winning streak to 16 matches.

MSU Denver is 18-2 overall and 12-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. New Mexico Highlands dropped to 7-15 and 3-9.

"They were very aggressive coming at us, and they pushed us back from time to time," MSU Denver coach Jenny Glenn said. "It was a battle to find our rhythm all night, but we were able – even when couldn't find our rhythm – to find a way to execute and score points."

Avaline Lai chipped in nine kills while Ember Canty had six kills on .600 hitting and added three blocks (one solo). Kaylee Corsentino had three service aces and Mikayla McClinton had four blocks.

"We were pretty evenly distributed, scoring across the net," Glenn said.

Amela Qershia set 23 assists, while Ashlyn Cianciulli had 15 digs.

"Last night (in a win against Adams State) we were off the net a lot," Glenn said. "Tonight our passers made a good adjustment – especially when they were serving us deep and aggressive – to get the ball to our setters at the net to allow us to set all three options."
