GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – No. 15 Colorado Mesa scored two first-half goals and held on for a 2-0 victory Thursday over MSU Denver in men's soccer.

Nick Jansen made five saves for MSU Denver, which dropped to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Colorado Mesa (3-0-1, 3-0-1) scored on goals by Daisuke Takanaka at 6:13 and Leo Mireles at 38:54.
MSU Denver wraps up the regular season Sunday with a 1:30 p.m. home game against UCCS.
"I thought Mesa was a good team today and good teams capitalize on our mistakes," MSU Denver coach
Nick Kirchhof said. "In the second half we fought and had some good moments. We have a great opportunity on Sunday against UCCS to put together a full performance."
