ROLLA, Mo. – MSU Denver freshman Shelby Robb has earned her second All-South Central Region first team honor in softball.
 
Robb was named to the D2CCCA All-South Central Region softball team in voting by sports information directors from the Rocky Mountain Athletic and Lone Star Conferences.
 
Last week Robb was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-South Central Region first team, and on Wednesday she was named one of eight finalists for the NFCA's National Freshman of the Year Award.
 
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Freshman of the Year, Robb was also an All-RMAC first team selection.
 
Robb finished the regular season with a .535 batting average and ranked fourth in Division II at .535. She broke the MSU Denver single-season program record of .496 set by Nancy Kogle in 1990.
 
She was also second in the RMAC and 16th nationally in hits (61), third in the RMAC and 14th nationally in slugging percentage (.866), and fourth in the RMAC and 13th nationally with a .560 on-base percentage. She led the RMAC and was second nationally with six sacrifice flies, was sixth and 23rd in total bases (101) and fifth and 47th in RBIs (41).
  
Besides batting average, Robb also set the program's single-season record in on-base percentage and posted the second-best slugging percentage ever. Kogle had a .545 on-base percentage and .952 slugging percentage in 1990.
 
Robb set MSU Denver freshman records in batting, slugging and on-base percentage, and tied the freshman record for runs with 41.
 
She earned an RMAC Gold Glove with a perfect fielding percentage (1.000), with no errors in 56 total chances, primarily in the left field.
