FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The MSU Denver women's tennis team continued to get more high-level experience in exhibitions against Division I competition on Saturday, as the Roadrunners traveled to face Colorado State.
Though Colorado State earned a 7-0 victory, MSU Denver put up a fight with several closely-contested matches.
Notably,
Ava Neuburger-Higby battled at No. 1 singles before falling 7-6, 6-0,
Gala Castello similarly played a strong first set before falling at No. 2 singles 7-5, 6-1 and
Lilly Stienemeier went to a super set at No. 4 singles in a 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-3) defeat.
MSU Denver plays a fifth straight dual against a Division I team – though this will be a regular-season match and not an exhibition – when it plays Feb. 20 at Wyoming.
