DENVER – The MSU Denver women's tennis team played Montana State in an exhibition dual Saturday and dropped a 5-2 decision.
Monica Guarin won her No. 5 singles match 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-6) and the Roadrunners also won a singles match by default.
MSU Denver nearly grabbed the doubles point to start the dual, as
Kinsey Fields and
Isabel Heras were 7-5 winners at No. 1 and the other two matches went down to the wire –
Lilly Stienemeier and
Kambra Roles lost 7-6 (5) at No. 3, while
Marie Cool and
Kim Heddes were defeated 7-5.
Roles was in a highly-competitive match at No. 4 singles, falling 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
