@MSUDenverWBB: Nationally-Ranked Fort Hays State Too Much for Roadrunners

Second road game ends in defeat for MSU Denver

HAYS, KAN. – The MSU Denver women's basketball team fell 75-52 to the 23rd-ranked Fort Hays State Tigers in the team's second road game of the season.

Fort Hays State (4-0 overall) got off to a fast start that the Roadrunners were unable to match, keeping MSU Denver to 14 points or less for all four quarters. The Tigers held the Roadrunners to just 34 percent shooting from the field.

Two Roadrunners finished the game in double digits. Mikylah Espinosa led the team with 17 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3P, 2-2 FT), and Jackie Pippett was not far behind with 14 (6-10 FG, 2-3 FT). Several other Roadrunners made an impact on the court, including freshman guard Nevaeh Millard, who finished the game with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The Roadrunners will continue their streak of road games in two weeks when they travel to Seattle for the SPU Thanksgiving Tournament to face Seattle Pacific and Saint Martin's (Wash.).
