SEATTLE – The MSU Denver women's basketball team fell to Saint Martin's in their second game of SPU Thanksgiving Tournament by a score of 68-53.
The Roadrunners were unable to keep up with the Saints' offense in the first half as they were outscored 34-14, with the Saints holding the Roadrunners to eight points or less in the first two quarters.
The Roadrunners bounced back in the second half, outscoring the Saints 39-34, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
Mikylah Espinosa had a double-double, leading the Roadrunners in points with a season-high 27 (7-16 FG, 13-15 FT) and 10 steals. She also led the team with eight rebounds and recorded two assists.
The Roadrunners (1-5 overall) will travel back to Colorado for their next two games, but they will remain on the road as they head west to take on Fort Lewis and Adams State in the first two games of RMAC play on December 5 and 7.
