The men rallied to win after dropping the doubles point, with
Reid Rainwater clinching the victory with a win at No. 5 singles in a superset – 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (3).
Alejandro Jimenez, who won at No 2 doubles, earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
"It was a long weekend, but we learned a lot as a team," MSU Denver coach
Bruno Campos said. "We played against two top 20 schools, and it was an amazing experience for our program. It was good to see where we are at and what we need to do to play at a high level against PacWest teams.
"We had two tough losses, but setbacks pave the way for comebacks. I am glad we were able to come back stronger and play at a high level today. Great effort by everyone. I'm proud of my team, but Monday is a new day, and a new opportunity for us to get better."
