MIDLOTHIAN, TEXAS – MSU Denver won a pair of tennis exhibition duals on Friday against Pratt Community College (Kan.), with the women cruising to an easy 7-0 victory before the men picked up a more contested 6-1 win.
 
The Roadrunners' men had no trouble clinching the doubles point, wrapping up victories of 6-2 at No. 1 by Marco Jalalian and Juho Kantola and 6-1 at No. 3 by Alessandro Munoz and Reid Rainwater.
 
In singles, freshman Kai Trujillo cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6, then Alejandro Jimenez won 7-6, 6-2 at No. 3, and Reid Rainwater won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5 to clinch it.
 
In the women's dual, MSU Denver cruised through four singles matches, losing a combined total of two games, and won the other two by forfeit.
 
Courtenay Leonard (No. 2 singles) and Monica Guarin (No. 4) both won 6-0, 6-0.
 
The Roadrunners return to regular-season Division II action Saturday, as both teams play Lubbock Christian (Texas) and Harding (Ark.).
