SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – MSU Denver earned its first tennis victories on its California road trip on Tuesday, as the Roadrunners' women defeated Westmont (Calif.) 7-0 and the men followed with a 5-2 victory over the Warriors.
The women won all their matches in straight sets, with
Monica Guarin particularly dominant at No. 6 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
The men bounced back after dropping the doubles point and won all but the No. 1 singles match.
Jeanloup Auzias earned a hard-fought win at No. 3 by 6-4, 7-6 (5).
MSU Denver has two duals remaining on its road trip, with the first coming up Wednesday at Fresno Pacific (Calif.).
