FRESNO, Calif. – Lilly Stienemeier earned a three-set win at No. 4 singles to lift the MSU Denver women's tennis team to a 4-3 victory Wednesday at Fresno Pacific (Calif.).
Earlier, the Fresno Pacific men defeated the Roadrunners' men 5-2.
Stienemeier defeated Daimy Paula 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to life the Roadrunners' women to their second straight victory.
MSU Denver had lost two other three-set singles matches, while
Emily Hafner lost a close 7-5, 7-6 decision at No. 1.
The Roadrunners won the doubles point, with Hafner/Stienemeier winning 6-1 at No. 2 and
Hanna Haber/
Kambra Roles winning 7-6 at No. 3.
In the men's dual,
Marco Jalalian won at No. 4 singles and
Maximo Lawlor was at No. 6.
