DENVER – The MSU Denver men's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory on Thursday in an exhibition dual against Division I Oral Roberts.
After
Jeanloup Auzias,
Juho Kantola and
Maximo Lawlor went through pre-match Senior Day ceremonies at the Assembly Athletic Complex, the Roadrunners quickly won the doubles point.
In singles, Auzias won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3, and then the Roadrunners were able to grind out victories in two of the three matches that went three sets.
Kantola won 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 at No. 2, and
Marco Jalalian won the clinching match at No. 4 by 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
MSU Denver plays its final regular-season dual at 2 p.m. Saturday at Colorado Mesa, then returns home for an 11 a.m. exhibition match Sunday against Illinois State.
