MSU Denver gives up a goal in each half

POMONA, Calif. – Tenth-ranked Cal Poly Pomona scored a goal in each half and defeated MSU Denver 2-0 Friday night in a non-conference men's soccer game.
 
The Broncos (3-1) scored on an own goal at 12:58, then tacked on another goal at 58:18.
 
MSU Denver goalkeeper Nick McNeil was tested often – Cal Poly Pomona took 15 shots and put 10 on goal. McNeil had nine saves.
 
The Roadrunners (1-3-1) took five shots, with three on goal. Of those, Matt Vogel took three shots and put two on goal.
 
MSU Denver continues its California swing Sunday with a 2 p.m. PDT game at No. 3 Cal State Los Angeles.
