LAKEWOOD, Colo. – After an uneven start, the No. 2 MSU Denver volleyball team kicked into gear in a 3-0 win (28-26, 25-13, 25-22) Friday at Colorado Christian.
With the victory, MSU Denver coach
Jenny Glenn improved to 199-48 in her ninth season for an astounding (.806 winning percentage), and she's even more sublime in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play at 126-9 (.933).
The Roadrunners (8-1) trailed 21-16 in the first set of the RMAC opener and had to fight off four set points, but kills by
Kryssa Moerman,
Megan Hagar and
Alivia Huxoll closed out the opening stanza.
It was all systems go from there.
Riley Anderson finished with 15 kills on .387 hitting, while
Maddy Williams had eight kills and five blocks and Hagar added seven kills. Moerman had six kills on .500 hitting to go with five blocks (one solo).
Amela Qershia set 23 assists and
Abbie McCrimmon had 15 digs as the Roadrunners beat Colorado Christian (5-4) for the 14
th straight time dating to 2014.
The Roadrunners hit .303 as a team and had 10.0 total blocks.
MSU Denver plays Saturday at 6 p.m. at Chadron State.
