DENVER – The No. 12-ranked MSU Denver volleyball team continued its dominant play Friday night with a 3-0 sweep over Black Hills State at the Auraria Event Center. The Roadrunners improved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in RMAC play, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 5-10 overall and 1-4 in the RMAC.

The win marked the 21st consecutive victory over Black Hills State, a streak dating back to 2011, as MSU Denver remains undefeated all-time (21-0) against the Yellow Jackets. The Roadrunners have also not dropped a single set to BHSU since 2016, a run that now spans 12 straight matches.

Annika Helf led the offensive effort with a match-high 15 kills while hitting .480, and Brooke Gennerman tallied 10 kills, marking her third straight match with double-digit kills for the freshman.

"She's [Brooke] super steady and has a calm demeanor," head coach Jenny Glenn said. "She goes out there and does her job and is a player with high IQ."

Skylar Michael added a season-high nine kills, hitting an efficient .313, and Alyssa Boyte chipped in seven kills on .500 hitting. Setter Karyna Werley guided the offense with 25 assists and added three kills of her own, while Emerson Dillon and GabriElle Brewer contributed from the service line with a combined three aces.

The Roadrunners hit a blistering .347 as a team and rolled to set wins of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-13, earning their third consecutive sweep and extending their winning streak in impressive fashion.

MSU Denver will be back in action Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. when they host South Dakota Mines at the Auraria Event Center.
