DENVER — The No. 12-ranked MSU Denver volleyball team continued its dominant run with another statement victory, sweeping CSU Pueblo 25-17, 25-20, 25-19 on Saturday afternoon at the Auraria Event Center.
The Roadrunners improved to 17-3 overall and 9-1 in RMAC play, extending their winning streak to eight matches — all of which have been sweeps. The run marks the program's longest winning streak since reeling off 14 straight last season, and MSU Denver has now won 24 consecutive sets.
Freshman Brooke Gennerman led the way offensively with a career-high 14 kills on .444 hitting, while Skyler Michael added 11 kills on a .348 clip. Karyna Werley and Annika Helf each contributed nine kills, helping the Roadrunners hit an impressive .325 as a team.
Setter Karyna Werley also paced the attack with 23 assists, while GabriElle Brewer added 21. Defensively, Mia Accomazzo anchored the back row with 16 digs, and MSU Denver out-blocked the ThunderWolves 14–5 behind strong play from Kryssa Moerman and Michael at the net.
The win also carried historical weight — MSU Denver improved to 25-1 all-time against CSU Pueblo, handing the ThunderWolves just their third RMAC loss of the season to gain an even stronger hold in the race for first place.
With the home stretch in sight, the Roadrunners look to keep rolling as they return to action Thursday at 6 p.m. at home against Colorado Mesa in a non-conference matchup at the Auraria Event Center.
