COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The MSU Denver men's soccer team's unbeaten streak came to an end Sunday afternoon as the Roadrunners fell 3–0 on the road to UCCS in a crucial RMAC matchup at Mountain Lion Stadium.

The loss snapped the Roadrunners' nine-match unbeaten run and was their first defeat since September 19, as MSU Denver dropped to 7-3-5 overall and 5-1-1 in RMAC play. With the result, UCCS (8-4-4, 6-1-1 RMAC) overtakes MSU Denver atop the conference standings in the race for the regular-season title.

Despite the final score, the Roadrunners controlled much of the early play, outshooting UCCS 13–7 and earning a 5–2 edge in corner kicks. However, the Mountain Lions struck first in the 21st minute and added goals in the 65th (penalty kick) and 83rd minutes to seal the win.

Adan Perez, Rhyson Johnston, and Charlie Matsumoto each placed shots on goal, while goalkeeper Nick McNeil finished with one save. The Roadrunners battled through a physical match that featured six yellow cards issued to UCCS players.

MSU Denver will look to regroup as it returns home for the final stretch of the regular season on Friday, October 31 against Westminster.
