LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The No. 8 ranked MSU Denver Roadrunners bounced back in impressive fashion Saturday afternoon, sweeping Colorado Christian 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-22) in a non-conference matchup at the CCU Event Center.

The Roadrunners improved to 10-3 overall while remaining 2-1 in RMAC play, with the result not counting toward conference standings. The victory capped a strong weekend response after falling to Colorado School of Mines on Friday evening.

Freshman Brooke Gennerman led a balanced MSU Denver attack with 11 kills on .333 hitting, while senior Annika Helf added nine kills, 14 digs, and an ace. Middle blocker Alyssa Boyte turned in a complete performance with six kills, three aces, and three blocks, and Skyler Michael contributed six kills and four block assists.

Setter Karyna Werley continued her consistent play, posting 21 assists, five kills on .400 hitting, and two aces, while GabriElle Brewer added 15 assists and two aces. The Roadrunners hit .277 as a team and limited Colorado Christian to just .135, controlling the match from start to finish.

Defensively, Helf's 14 digs paced MSU Denver, while Mia Accomazzo added 12 as the Roadrunners totaled 51 digs and 14 block assists.

The Roadrunners will return home to the Auraria Event Center on Tuesday night for a conference matchup against UCCS at 6 p.m. MT.
