Despite several solid scoring chances, MSU Denver couldn't find the back of the net against a tough Fort Lewis defense that improved to 10-4-2 overall and 7-2-1 in conference. The Skyhawks scored once in the first half and added two more late in the second to pull away.
The Roadrunners finished with seven total shots, including one on goal from Monica Yoder, who continues to lead the team's attack in the midfield. Goalkeeper Kiley Hyde recorded one save while facing 15 shots from Fort Lewis.
With one match remaining in the regular season, MSU Denver will return home to host Colorado Christian on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Assembly Athletic Complex.
