@MSUDenverMBB: Roadrunners Fall to Texas A&M Kingsville on the Road

KINGSVILLE, Texas — MSU Denver men's basketball fell to Texas A&M–Kingsville on Thursday night, 92–61, as the Roadrunners moved to 1–2 overall on the season.

Despite the loss, Amare Bethel delivered a career night, tying for the team lead with 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three and a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. Bethel also added four rebounds and continued to provide steady scoring off the bench.

Garrett Falls matched Bethel with 14 points of his own, going 4-for-7 from the field while knocking down a pair of threes and grabbing a team-high five rebounds.

Logan Threatt contributed 13 points, three assists, and two steals, while Quave Propst-Allison added five points, four rebounds, and a team-best two steals.

Freshman forward Daniel Thomason made the most of his minutes, posting two points, three rebounds, and an assist.

Adam Hackett chipped in nine points and tied Bethel with four rebounds, knocking down three 3-pointers.

MSU Denver finished with 38 rebounds, including 13 on the offensive glass, but couldn't slow down a hot-shooting Kingsville squad that shot 53.6% from the field.

The Roadrunners close their Texas road trip on Saturday at noon, taking on St. Mary's (TX).
