@MSUDenverWBB: Roadrunners Roll to 91–74 Victory for First Win Under Lynn Kennedy

DENVER — MSU Denver delivered its most explosive offensive performance in several seasons Tuesday night, surging past Western New Mexico 91–74 at the Auraria Event Center.

The win marks the first career victory at MSU Denver for head coach Lynn Kennedy and moves the Roadrunners to 1–4, while Western New Mexico drops to 0–4.

MSU Denver's 91 points are its highest total since posting 93 against Northwest Nazarene during the 2022-23 season. The Roadrunners set a series of early season bests, including season highs in points, field goals made, three-pointers made, assists, and steals. Their 33 field goals are the most in a game since the 2021-22 season, and their 10 made threes match the team's best mark from last year.

The Roadrunners showcased impressive balance—all 10 players who entered the game scored—and four reached double figures. Sarah Nocke and Jadyn Watts paced the attack with 17 points each, the highest individual total for any Roadrunner this season and a new career-best for both. Nocke's five made threes are the most by a Roadrunner since Brooklyn Jones hit six in two games last year.

Watts paired her scoring with a strong all-around performance, posting a career-high four steals and nine rebounds.

Junior Lex Trujillo added a spark off the bench, knocking down a career-high nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

MSU Denver took command with a 30-point fourth quarter, shooting 65 percent in the period while forcing turnovers and turning them into transition points. The Roadrunners finished with 15 steals and scored 34 points off turnovers.

The Red and Blue return to the floor tomorrow at 3 p.m., taking on Fort Hays State in its second game in as many days.
