DENVER — MSU Denver cross country student-athletes once again proved their excellence in the classroom, earning multiple selections to the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Rolls that were announced Thursday afternoon, highlighted by sophomore Darren Hayden's First Team Academic All-RMAC recognition.
Hayden was the lone Roadrunner, men or women, to earn First Team Academic All-RMAC honors. The sophomore music major posted a perfect 4.00 GPA and was recognized among the top academic performers in the conference, standing out in a field that included some of the RMAC's strongest programs.
In addition to Hayden's first-team honor, the Roadrunners were well represented on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA while meeting conference eligibility requirements.
On the men's side, MSU Denver placed five student-athletes on the honor roll: Jonathan Duran, Jordan Duran, Charles Geisler, Darren Hayden, and Shota Yabuuchi.
The women's program added four more Roadrunners to the Academic Honor Roll, with Abigail Read, Payton Rusk, Ellie Shaw, and graduate student Paige Tack earning recognition for their academic success throughout the season.
MSU Denver's nine total honorees across men's and women's cross country highlight the program's balance of academic and athletic dedication.
