@MSUDenverMBB: Red and Blue Drop Sunday's Contest at Home

DENVER — MSU Denver men's basketball dropped to 1–7 overall and 0–2 in RMAC play on Sunday afternoon, falling 87–59 to Adams State inside the Auraria Event Center.

Despite the setback, the Roadrunners saw several positive individual performances—headlined by Nathan Francis, who knocked down three 3-pointers for the second game in a row and finished with 9 points.

MSU Denver also received balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with eight different Roadrunners getting on the board.

Garrett Falls led MSU Denver with 10 points off the bench, attacking the rim consistently and adding seven rebounds. Brian Unachukwu provided strong interior play with 11 points and seven boards, while Logan Threatt added 8 points—including a pair of threes—to spark MSU Denver in stretches.

The Roadrunners traded early blows with Adams State, matching the Grizzlies from deep through the opening minutes. But turnovers and second-chance points allowed Adams State to gradually build separation, taking a 41–31 lead into halftime. MSU Denver continued to battle, cutting the deficit to single digits early in the second half, but a high-efficiency shooting night from the Grizzlies made a full comeback difficult.

MSU Denver finished with eight made 3-pointers, and Francis' consistency from the arc highlighted one of the team's bright spots heading into next week.

The Roadrunners will look to regroup quickly as they head to Western Colorado on Thursday, continuing their stretch of RMAC contests.
