@MSUDenverBSB: Livsey stikes out career-high six in win over Central Oklahoma

The junior fans six Bronchos helping MSU Denver to win No. 1 on the season

EDMOND, Okla Nolan Livsey pitched the Roadrunners to their first victory of 2025, helping the squad defeat Central Oklahoma 8-4 on Saturday.
 
The win improved MSU Denver's record to 1-1 on the season, while the Bronchos dropped to 0-2.
 
Livsey was incredible on the mound today going a career-high 6.0 innings, giving up just two earned runs on four hits while striking out a career-high six batters. Both runs came on one hit in the fifth inning, and he was even strong in his final inning striking out two. He earned his first victory as a Roadrunner. 
 
The offense came from all over the lineup, as seven different batters had base hits, while six different batters had at least on RBI. Andrew Graham was on base four times for the Roadrunners and led the way scoring three runs. 
 
MSU Denver struck first in the second inning as both River Jackson and Brooks Rasmussen came through with RBI singles to put the team up 2-0. Graham doubled down the left field line, driving in Cam Yuran to make it 3-0 after three innings. 
 
After Central Oklahoma scored two runs in the fifth, the Roadrunners put up one run in the sixth and four in the seventh to take an 8-2 lead. Rasmussen drove in another run, while Erubiel Ortiz has been solid from the leadoff spot for the second straight day, driving in two while getting on base three times on the day. 
 
Kobe Krenz struck out three batters in 1.2 innings pitched, while Carter Swan pitched a scoreless ninth inning to keep the Bronchos from rallying back. 
 
MSU Denver will finish up the tournament tomorrow morning against Pittsburgh State, with the first pitch taking place at 8:30 a.m. mountain time.
