DENVER — The MSU Denver Roadrunners could not find a rhythm today and dropped both seven-inning contests against the Regis Rangers.
The Red and Blue fall to 8-10 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while Regis improves to 12-9 and 2-1 in RMAC play.
GAME ONE
The Roadrunner pitching struggled to get off the field, dropping this one 15-1. MSU Denver recorded just three hits while drawing five walks.
Cam Yuran went 1-for-2 with a walk and came around to score the lone run for his squad on a Cal Walsh groundout to the shortstop.
Nick Vilims and Noah Marks combined for a scoreless two innings on the mound.
GAME TWO
Regis carried their torrid run at the plate over into the second game, putting up double-digits again in a 10-4 win over MSU Denver.
The Roadrunners strung together a few more hits and runs together this time around but would not be enough for the victory. Easton Amundson, Andrew Biddle, and River Jackson all recorded multi-hit games.
Amundson headlined the offense with two solo home runs, giving him 10 on the year for the team lead. He has now homered six times in the last six games. Jackson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Michael Banderas and Drew Peters combined for a scoreless 2.2 innings.
