DENVER -- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2025 All-Conference teams Wednesday morning, which tabbed six MSU Denver Roadrunners on the All-RMAC first, second, and gold glove squads.
Jaiden Geist, Miki Berg, and Jenna Medhus were all named first-team All-RMAC after their spectacular seasons. Geist and Berg will look to close out their illustrious softball careers as they prepare to graduate next month. Medhus is a junior and will have one year of eligibility left after this season.
Sophomore pitcher Natalie Romero and senior outfielder Alexia Boring were tabbed with All-RMAC second-team honors.
Geist ended the campaign with nine home runs, 36 RBIs, and 38 runs. She came on strong late in the season and managed to claim the RMAC batting title with a .453 batting average. She ranked second in the conference in OBP (.538) and OPS (1.333), and third in slugging with a .795 clip.
Along with being a premier hitter in the RMAC, Geist was just as impressive for the Roadrunners behind the dish. She was named to the all-conference gold glove team, the only backstop in the RMAC. Geist had a .995 fielding percentage, which ranked seventh in the conference.
Berg made herself a known presence in the batter's box, ending the season as one of the RMAC's top power hitters. She ranked top-10 in the RMAC for slugging (.754), OPS (1.140), RBIs (47), and home runs (11). Berg carried a .346 batting average with 37 runs and 12 doubles, which tied teammate Alexia Boring for the team lead.
Medhus served as a dual threat for the Roadrunners, playing in 39 games as the designated player while pitching in 16 games with 14 starts in the circle. She led the conference in slugging (.896) and OPS (1.378), and only trailed teammate Jaiden Geist for the RMAC batting title with a .440 batting average. Medhus also ranked top-10 for OBP (.482), RBIs (50), triples (6), and home runs (12).
When she wasn't belting homers at the plate, Medhus was in the circle for the Roadrunners. She pitched the second-most innings for MSU Denver (72.2) with seven complete games. Medhus ended the season with a 4.14 ERA and 43 strikeouts.
Romero was the go-to option in the circle for MSU Denver, earning 19 wins with just three losses on the year. She ranked top-5 in the RMAC for wins (19), ERA (1.79), opponent batting average (.228), innings pitched (148.2), and batters struck out looking (36). She threw 17 complete games with three shutouts, which also ranked second in the conference.
Boring was a staple in the lineup for MSU Denver, primarily serving as the no. 2 hitter for most of the season. She ended the year with a .355 batting average, 51 runs, 12 home runs, and 40 RBIs. She led her team in runs and homers. Boring ranked top-10 in the RMAC in slugging (.684), OPS (1.118), runs (51), and home runs (12).
