DENVER -- It's another action-packed upcoming week in Roadrunners Athletics, highlighted by the annual women's volleyball Colorado Premier Tournament that will be hosted by MSU Denver and Regis. Both men and women's soccer will continue their home stand on Thursday evening. Volleyball will play two matches a day on Friday and Saturday in the Auraria Event Center, and women's golf will round out the week at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella tournament in Phoenix, on Monday and Tuesday.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Thursday, 9/11: MSU Denver vs. Seattle Pacific (3:30 p.m. MT)
Saturday, 9/13: MSU Denver vs. Angelo State (12 p.m. MT)
Katie Hooker and her squad will open their campaign Thursday at the Assembly Athletic Complex at 3:30 p.m. against Western Washington. The Roadrunners are looking to replicate their 2024 season which resulted in a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Red and Blue have yet to beat the Vikings in their five match ups, but did tie 0-0 in 90 minutes of play last season in Washington. MSU Denver will play again at home on Sunday against Western Oregon at noon. The Roadrunners tied with the Wolves, 0-0, last year during their first meeting.

Nick Kirchhof kicked off his fifth season at the helm for MSU Denver with a pair of draws last weekend against Northwest Nazarene and Fort Hays State. The first match was a defensive battle, ending in a 0-0 score, with both teams unable to find the net. Sunday's match brought a lot more energy with each side rattling off a pair of goals but neither with the equalizer they were looking for. The Red and Blue will square off with Dominican at home Thursday evening at 6 p.m. and then will travel to Austin, Texas to play St. Edward's Sunday morning at 11 a.m. MT.

Jenny Glenn and her team were recently ranked as the No. 3 team in the country by AVCA after going a perfect 4-0 in the Bahama Classic to start their 2025 campaign. After taking down Flagler College in a full five sets in the season opener, the Roadrunners dominated the next three matches against Embry-Riddle, Sioux Falls, and Montevallo. They will take the court for their home opener Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Wayne State College to kick off the Colorado Premier Challenge, followed up by another match at 6 p.m. against Lewis University.

Stefanie Ferguson and her team just placed 6th overall at the Swan Memorial, with three Roadrunners finishing inside the top-25 on the individual results.
