DENVER – MSU Denver women's soccer earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Seattle Pacific on Thursday evening at The Assembly Athletic Complex.

Seattle Pacific struck first in the 21st minute when Grace Gouran found the back of the net to give the Falcons an early lead. The Roadrunners responded just before halftime, as senior Monica Yoder calmly converted a penalty kick in the 44th minute to bring the game level. It's her first goal on the season, and joins Jenelle Arenibas as the only other Roadrunner with a score on the young season. 

The second half was evenly contested, with both teams trading chances. MSU Denver had a late opportunity when Isa Durkin's shot clipped the crossbar in the 89th minute, but neither side could find a breakthrough.

The Roadrunners finished with five total shots, including two on goal, while goalkeeper Kayla Caballero made two key saves to preserve the result.

With the draw, MSU Denver moves to 0-1-2 on the young season, while Seattle Pacific goes to 1-0-1.
