POMONA, Calif. -- MSU Denver dropped its final non-conference match of the season on Sunday, falling 3-0 at Cal Poly Pomona. The loss moves the Roadrunners to 0-3-3 overall.
The Roadrunners managed three shots in the first half, but couldn't break through offensively. Goalkeeper Kayla Caballero finished with four saves to keep the Roadrunners within striking distance.
The Broncos (6-0) scored once in the opening half and added two more after the break, including a penalty kick in the 55th minute.
MSU Denver now turns its attention to conference play, as the Roadrunners open RMAC competition Friday night at Westminster. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT in Salt Lake City.
