SALT LAKE CITY — MSU Denver earned a scoreless draw Friday afternoon in their conference opener, finishing 0-0 at Westminster to close the third leg of the road trip.
The Roadrunners (now 0-3-4) battled through a physical match and leaned on another strong performance from goalkeeper Kayla Caballero, who made five saves on her way to posting a shutout.
Jenelle Arenibas provided MSU Denver's best chances with two of the team's three shots, including the lone shot on goal.
The defensive unit held firm as the Roadrunners weathered 13 shots from Westminster while also generating three second-half corner kicks in search of a late winner.
MSU Denver will look to build momentum when it wraps up its road trip on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction.
